The Solent, South Coast and London provide a fantatsic platform for a day on the water watching the many racing spectacles coming to our shores in 2012.

June 2012

2-5 June Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

11 – 16 - The Westward Cup - Cowes, Isle of Wight - An exceptional opportunity to see some of the world’s finest classic schooners racing in our home waters. An ‘A’ list turnout is anticipated to include Mariquita, Mariette, Eleonora and Brittania. This will be a memorable spectacle recreating Big Class racing of the 1920’s & 30’s.

27 - 30- “J” Class Regatta at Falmouth, England

July / August 2012

2 - 8 “J” Class Pendennis Cup at Falmouth Falmouth, Eng

7 to 14 British Classic Yacht Club Regatta, Cowes Marina

16 - 21 “J” Class Royal Southhampton YC Regatta at Cowes, Isle of Wight- With the possibility of six, or even eight J Class yachts racing, this is expected to be an outstanding regatta.The regatta includes the historic Hundred Guinea Cup On Saturday - a race around the Isle of Wight over the original course of the America’s Cup in 1851. Clockwise and without a time limit.

22- 25 Royal Yacht Squadron Super Yacht Regatta at Cowes, Isle of Wight

29– Aug 4 Cowes Classic Week + Royal London Metre Boat Regatta Cowes, Isle of Wight

27 – Aug 11 2012 Summer Olympics – Sailing venue Weymouth, Eng - an opportunity to spectate from the water and support Team GB in their quest for medals.
